| Project |
|
| Educational
and promotional materials for National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), bone
marrow donors of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds. |
|
| |
|
| Objective |
|
- To create a theme that reaches multi-cultural audience.
- To design two levels of brochures: one overview and
one more detailed.
- To communicate (in an attractive and easily understood
manner) the heavy-duty medical information (legally required) for a
donor to give informed consent.
- To create collateral items that match the printed
materials.
|
|
| |
|
| Approach |
|
- Used photos of real life donors, from different ethnic/cultural
backgrounds.
- Used a color palette that combined all four ethnic
campaigns.
- Divided the medical information into short, easy
to understand sections.
- Used "The Missing Piece" idea to emphasize
how important their committment was to patients.
- Used with companion video, fliers, and reminder magnets.
|
|
| |
|
| Outcome |
|
- Having this line of materials helped coordinators
process large groups of people coming out for a donor drive, without
needing to bring boxes of literature for each ethnic/cultural group.
- Reinforced the message of donor committment
